BLACKSTONE- Raymond H. Lambert, 59, of Blackstone, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Rita M. (Martinelli) Lambert and had just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on September 2, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on August 4, 1953, he was the son of the late Ralph and Noella (Prefontaine) Lambert. He was the loving father of Amy N. Saunders and her husband, Brent of Putnam, CT, Jody L. Supernor and her husband, Matthew of Northbridge, MA, and Kristy B. Lambert of Blackstone, MA.
He was the proud grandfather of his cherished grandchildren, Caleb, Riley, Danielle, Charlotte and Kate.
He was the brother of Richard Lambert of Arkansas, Robert Lambert of Uxbridge, MA, and Roger Lambert of Bridgewater, MA.
A lifelong resident of Blackstone, Ray was a graduate of Blackstone Millville Regional High School Class of 1972. He owned and operated Ray Lambert's Excavating in Blackstone for many years until retiring in 2004. Previously he worked as a supervisor at Buckley & Mann in Franklin, MA. He was a member of the Cercle Laurier in Woonsocket.
He was an avid reader, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and cooking. Most of all, his true passion was the love and enjoyment of family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 13th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul Street, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
