BELLINGHAM- Robert A. Krajcik, 65, of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Milford Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was the beloved husband for 42 years of Pauline M. (Benjamin) Krajcik.
Born in Cleveland, OH, on October 3, 1946, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Wisnoski) Krajcik.
He was the loving father of Dawn Krajcik of Chicago, IL; Lisa Kwon and her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Kwon, of Fairfield, CT; and Woonsocket Call copy editor Renee Trafford and her husband, Woonsocket Call executive editor, Daniel Trafford, of Warwick, RI. He was the grandfather of Hayden, Elyse, and Reid Kwon. He was the brother of William Krajcik and his wife, Mary Ann, of Munster, IN, and the late Richard Krajcik.
He was a resident of Bellingham for 34 years, formerly of Fall River, MA; and Cleveland, OH, where he was born and raised. He worked as a systems analyst at U.S. Army Natick RD&E Center (Natick Labs) for over 30 years until retiring in 2011. He was a United States Navy Vietnam War Veteran serving on the USS Boston, and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star.
He enjoyed woodworking, yard work and golfing. His greatest joy was being with his family, and he will be greatly missed and remain in our hearts forever.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 14, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations for lymphoma research may be made to the Division of Development, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West FL 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924 or www.dana-farber.org.
