BURRILLVILLE- Joan O. (Nelson) Carlson, 84, passed away Wednesday September 12, 2012. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Carlson.
Mrs. Carlson was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Andrew and Jenny (Stenberg) Nelson.
She lived in Warwick for 44 years before moving to Burrillville 3 years ago. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Warwick and a member of Pioneer Lodge #506, Order of Vasa.
Mrs. Carlson was the loving mother of Roy A. Carlson and his wife Jennifer; grandmother of Andrew, Gregory and Gretchen Carlson all of Pascoag. She was the sister of the late Andrew, Richard and Kenneth Nelson. Visitation in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, Saturday from 8:30 - 10am, followed by a funeral service at 10am. Burial will be in R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
