Schools seeking a few good teachers

WOONSOCKET — The School Committee has approved the posting of nine teaching positions after hearing School Supt. Giovanna Donoyan's request for the action as the first step in filling vacant posts in local schools.
Donoyan submitted the teacher posting requests along with a list of 32 vacancies districtwide that also include administrative and non-certified positions.
Donoyan explained that the positions are already funded in the school department's budget and have been approved by both the committee and the state Budget Commission managing city affairs in earlier action.
