NO. SMITHFIELD- Eleanor M. O'Donnell, of No. Smithfield, died peacefully, in the comfort of her own home, on Thursday, September 13, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Winifred (Gunnigan) McMichael. She met her husband Jim, married and moved to No. Smithfield in 1950, where she resided until her death.
An active part of Homestead Gardens for many years, she loved her farm and her family. She leaves her daughter, Ann Cleary and husband John of No. Smithfield; her son James O'Donnell, Jr. and wife Gayle of No. Smithfield; four grandchildren and a sister; Dorothy Effgen of Medway, MA.
Honoring her wishes, private funeral services were held under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island, 70 Bath St., Providence, RI 02908, or a charity of your choice in her memory
