Clement Henry Levitre
BLACKSTONE- Clement Henry Levitre, 92, of Blackstone, MA passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at his home. He was the Husband of Lucienne (Crochiere) Levitre.
He was born in Quincy, MA son of the late Henry G. and Rhea (Gauthier) Levitre.
Clement served in The Royal Canadian AirForce from 1940-1941. He served in the US Army/AirForce 62nd Fighter Squadron based in England and Ireland from October 1941 to October 1945. Clem was self employed at C.H. Levitre and Sons General Masonry. He belonged to the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans, the Amvets, and was a communicant of St. Paul's Church, Blackstone, MA his entire lifetime. Besides loving his craft of stone and brick mason, he was a world traveler, loved going to Foxwoods and driving his Ford Mustangs. He was an avid reader, especially National Geographic, loved barbecuing and family gatherings.
Clem is survived by one son: Richard C. Levitre and his wife Elaine of Woonsocket, RI; three daughters: Lu-Ann Sullivan and her husband Charles of Blackstone, MA; CarolAnn DiLibero and her husband James of Blackstone, MA; and JoAnn Dubois and her husband Jacques of Mendon, MA; nine grandchildren: Michael Levitre and his wife Pamela of Pascoag, RI; Darlene Carey and her husband Gerard of Woonsocket, RI; Charles Sullivan and his wife Alicia of Johnston, RI., Meaghan Sullivan of Virginia and Patrick Sullivan of Santa Monica, CA; Joshua and Tyler DiLibero of Blackstone, MA; and Danielle and Kristina Dubois of Mendon, MA; and four great grandchildren: Britney and Kaitlin Levitre of Pascoag, RI; and Dylan and Liam Carey of Woonsocket, RI., four siblings: Marion Crochiere , Jacqueline Kowalewski, Henry Levitre, and Robert Levitre. He was predeceased by one son: Harry C. Levitre; seven siblings: Leah Haines, Rene Levitre, Patricia Maher, Norman Levitre, Jeannette Levitre, Josephine Levitre and Bertrand Levitre.
Clem's calling hours will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone, MA. His funeral mass will be held at 10:00am Saturday, September 22, 2012 in St. Pauls Church, St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Gaskill St., Blackstone, MA.
