Ernest A. Tessier Sr.

WOONSOCKET- Ernest A. Tessier Sr. 92, of Warwick St. died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of Gertrude (Blain) Tessier.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Frederick and Valeda (Lagace) Tessier.
Ernie served as a 2nd Lieutenant pilot in the US Army/Air Corps during WWII. He worked in the Quality Control Laboratory at Provost Lefebvre & Co. Inc. for over thirty years before retiring in 1985. He was a golf enthusiast and was a member of the Northern RI Bridge Club.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Nancy Tessier of Venice, FL a son Ernest A. Tessier Jr. of Glendale, AZ, a brother Herve "Babe" Tessier of Phoenix AZ, two granddaughters, Stacey and Stephanie, and three great-grandchildren, Jesse, Abby and Samuel. He was also the father of the late Paul A. Tessier. Ernie was predeceased by eight siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Please visit
