Alice I. Trahan

WOONSOCKET- Alice Irene Trahan, 97, died peacefully on Sunday September 23, 2012, surrounded by her family at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield, RI. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Trahan and companion of the late Marcel Gingras.
A lifelong Woonsocket RI resident, she was born on April 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Origene and Delia (Tessier) Tessier.
Mrs. Trahan was employed for many years at the former Royal Robes Inc. in Woonsocket, retiring in 1980. She enjoyed spending time with her family; reading, knitting and crocheting; and spent many summers camping on Cape Cod and wintering in Florida.
She is survived by one daughter Janet (Trahan) Debroisse and her husband Robert of Port St. Lucie, Florida and two sons: Richard E. Trahan and his wife Cornelia of Warwick, RI and Ronald R. Trahan of Pascoag, RI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. A Memorial service will be held at a later date and burial will be private.
