AUSTIN, TEXAS- Aurore "Topsy" Camilucci, 90, passed away on August 31, in Austin, Texas after a long illness.
Widow of the late Bruno J. Camilucci, Aurore was born in Woonsocket, on10/24/1921.
She was the fourth of six children born of Ulderic and Eva (Trottier) Nadeau. Aurore's siblings, who have been awaiting her arrival into heaven, are: Alice Grondines, Jeannette Dussault, Helene Bouvier, Beatrice Lamoureux, and Henry Nadeau.
After their marriage, Bruno and Topsy purchased her parents' grocery store, Nadeau's Market (where all family members had worked) and it was re-named Camilucci's Market. She later worked in the jewelry department of Save-Rite for several years. When visiting Texas, she made and sold stained glass pieces including lamps and windows. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church, The Marchegiano Club, and Royal Travelers Group Tours. Aurore moved to Texas to live with her family in 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Tondre, grandsons, Kenneth and Christopher Tondre, and twin great-grandsons, Jake and Cory Tondre. All reside in Austin, TX.
A private Catholic service was held for Aurore's family in Austin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Church in Woonsocket, with burial next to her husband, in St. Jean the Baptiste at a later date.
