Actor comes home with national tour

October 9, 2012

BLACKSTONE — Ryan LaTour has been one busy guy since stepping off the graduation stage at Blackstone-Millville Regional High School in 2003.
LaTour, 27, the son of Donna and Denis LaTour of Blackstone Street, went to New York to study theatre and speech at Wagner College in New York city's Staten Island. Since his graduation in 2007, he's traveled around the world with such companies as Disney and Holland America Line; he's filmed a commercial for Sister Act on Broadway; recorded an original opera composed by Jan Albert entitled Kiyo; and has performed with Broadway veterans such as Timothy Jerome and Martin Moran in Titanic the Musical.
But when he got a phone call last June from Washington, D.C. musical producer Bud Forrest asking if he would be interested in auditioning as a cast member for Forrest's retro 1940s musical “In the Mood,” little did LaTour realize just how busy his life was about to get.
