WOONSOCKET- Camille A. "Cam" Lapierre, 69, of Gauthier Drive, died Wednesday October 10, 2012 at home.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Dennis Lapierre and Bernadette (Bell) Lapierre. He was the husband of the late Marie (Lanctot) Lapierre.
Cam worked as a maintenance man for Design Venture for 25 years and also for Blackstone Valley Self Storage prior to retiring.
Cam enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and also helping people in their time of need.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna and husband John Fernandes, of Woonsocket, Cheryl and husband Jim Brien, of Woonsocket. Two sons, Kenneth R. and his wife Keri Lapierre, of Tennessee, and Kevin and his wife Crystal Lapierre, of North Smithfield. Two brothers, his twin, Emile Lapierre, of North Carolina, and Gerald Lapierre, of North Smithfield. Two sisters, Cecil Blaise, and Rita Chartier, both of Woonsocket. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also, his faithful canine companion, Daisy.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady Queen of Martyr's Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Friday October 12, 2012 from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 N. Main St, Providence, R.I.02904 would be appreciated.
