Philip M. Provost

WOONSOCKET- Philip M. Provost, 56, of Woonsocket, died Monday, October 8, 2012 in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. He was the husband of Beverly J. (Girard).
Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of Laverne Faye (Mills) Provost of Woonsocket and the late Joseph Provost.
A 1974 graduate of Woonsocket High School, Philip was a truck driver for the Environmental Quality Company. He was a coin and stamp collector, a member of the Blackstone Coin Club, an avid outdoorsmen and a great family man.
Besides his wife and mother, Philip leaves two brothers, Michael Provost of No. Smithfield and Steven Provost of Copperas Cove, Tx, three sisters, Mary Felicio of Magnolia, NC, Paula Dorez and Patricia Provost, both of Woonsocket; his live-in godchild, Brad Girouard and many nephews and nieces.
His funeral will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 1-3PM and 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
