William A. Steere, Jr.

BURRILLVILLE- Steere, William A., Jr., 58, of Mapleville, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Marleene L. (Stockwell) Steere of Mapleville.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of William A. Steere, Sr. of Mapleville and the late Dorothy (Smith) Steere.
Bill was the loving father of Justina M. Steere and Brandon W. Steere, both of Mapleville and was also expecting to be a first time grandfather soon. He was the brother of Robert Smith of Dayville, CT, Joan Stockwell, Nancy Beauvais, both of Burrillville and the late Wayne A. Steere. He also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and nephews.
Bill was a truck driver for the Marwell Trucking Co. of North Providence for more than 20 years. He was a big sports fan who especially enjoyed ice hockey and NASCAR auto racing. Bill liked to restore antique farm tractors with his son and was a member of the New England International Harvester Collectors, Chapter#18.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday October 16, 2012 at 10am in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt. 44) Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Monday 4-8pm.
