Calling all Queen wannabes!
The Northern Rhode Island Council of the Arts is in search of the Mardi Gras Queen who will reign over the Mardi Gras Ball on Feb. 2.
The contest is open to all females 18 or older and the title of queen will go to the contestant who sells the most raffle tickets for a collection of prizes to be announced closer to the date. Proceeds of the ticket sales help offset the cost of the Mardi Gras celebration.
The 2013 celebration will be held at two sites: The Elks Hall and St. Ann Arts & Cultural Center, Woonsocket.
Informational packets have been prepared and you can call 2012 Mardi Gras Queen Jackie Boudreau at 769-1099 or email her at JCBoudreau1@verizon.net
