George E. Brin

WOONSOCKET - George E. Brin 85, of Greene St. died Friday at home. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Brousseau) Brin.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Ernest and Hermine (Beauregard) Brin. George worked for Wilfred's Seafood for over twenty years, he also worked for the former Bancroft Co., Leo's Bakery and Industrial Machine. George was a newspaper carrier for the Woonsocket Call and Providence Journal for over thirty years. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 0003 for forty seven years. George was as avid handyman and could always be found working in his basement.
He is survived by two sons, Robert C. Brin and his wife Barbara, and Richard R. Brin all of Woonsocket, four daughters Therese Bellerose and her husband Robert, Rachel and Denise Brin all of Woonsocket, and Louise Carriere and her husband Richard of North Smithfield, eight grandchildren, Melissa, Tina, Nathan, Stephanie, and Christine Brin, Michael, Nicole and Kevin Carriere, and three great-grandchildren, Trenton, Demetri, and Carter. He was also the brother of the late Amedee, Oliver, and Gerard Brin and Rejane James.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home are Private. In lieu of flowers Masses said in his memory or donations to the American Legion Post 85, 870 River St. Woonsocket, RI 02895 would be appreciated. Please visit
