BLACKSTONE- Georgette S. "Gigi" (Bernier) Vallee, 72, of Blackstone, MA passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Millbury Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymnd R. Vallee.
Born in Blackstone, MA on October 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Olea (Lemay) Bernier.
She was the loving sister of Marcel Bernier and his wife, Luce of Blackstone, MA and the late Gerard Bernier. She leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also, she leaves her beloved canine companion "Tasha".
A lifelong resident of Blackstone and also had a residence in Homosassa, FL, and was a graduate of Marie Joseph Academy in Biddeford, ME. Gigi worked at the Industrial National Bank in Providence and as a bank teller at Fleet Bank in Woonsocket for several years. She also did clerical work for her husband's business Ray's Farm Supply on Elm Street, Blackstone.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church and a former member of the choir. She loved gardening, flowers, crafting and interior decorating. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket, RI. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, October 24th from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
