Rolande R.
Lamoureux

WOONSOCKET- Rolande R. "Ronnie" (Sene) Lamoureux, 91, of Woonsocket, went lovingly to her Lord on Wednesday, October 17th at the Holiday Nursing Home, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien G. Lamoureux Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Elyda (Bouvier) Sene. She resided in Woonsocket all her life, was a homemaker for many years and also worked at many of the area mills including Frenchtex and Murray Worsted.
Ronnie was the loving mother to Lucien G."Chip" Lamoureux, Jr. and his wife Jeannine of Woonsocket and Ronald L. Lamoureux and his wife Lynn of Raleigh, N.C. Her daughter and caretaker, Lucianne (Lucy) R. Dalpe and her husband John G. Dalpe of Woonsocket. Her grandchildren, Jace, Kasey, Christie and Allyson Lamoureux, Ashley and Lorande (Nikki) Lamoureux, and Ian and Kaitlyn Dalpe. She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Hyde and her husband Ed of Manhattan, NY. She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Rita Rondeau, Irene Campbell, Therese Marchand and one brother, Eugene Sene. She also leaves twelve great-grandchildren, the youngest, Austin Lucas, came into the world just in time to bring his great-grandmother a lot of joy before she passed. One brother-in-law, Aurelien (Little Joe) Lamoureux and his wife Pauline and many nieces and nephews.
Ronnie will be remembered for being called "Memere" by many who knew her. She always had a special love for children. Her biggest joy was playing cards and games with her grandchildren and playing cards and bingo with her family and friends. She was a very talented sewer, knitter, crocheter and crafter who when she was younger and able, made many handmade gifts and momento's for her family, including her annual array of new "pouponnes" for Christmas. At the Holiday, she was known as the "puzzle lady" with many of the residents taking joy in seeing the new pictures she would piece together each day. The staff and residents of the Holiday were like Ronnie's extended family and she would often talk about her "angels" there. The family is grateful for the care she received in her two and a half years of residence there.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25th at 10:00 at St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Avenue, Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, Ma. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rolande's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the John E. Moran Foundation, P.O. Box 1163, Slatersville, RI 02876. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket is in charge of the arrangements.
