EASTHAM, MASS -- Norina Anna Fiora (Pierannunzi) Gavasso, 73, of Samoset Rd. Died peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2012, at home with her husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of Roy Gavasso.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Francis and Florida (Rotatori) Pierannunzi.
Norina was a 1956 graduate of Bellingham High School graduating with High Honors.
Norina, was a 25 year Federal Employee, for the Foreign and Civilian Service and also for the Defense Department, she was stationed in North Africa, The Far East and Europe, and in Washington, DC. prior to retiring.
She loved Exercising at the Gym, Crafting and Sewing.
She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Church, in Orleans, Cape Cod.
Beside her loving husband Roy, she is survived by her sister Leonora Pierannunzi of Bellingham, Ma. And also several nieces and nephews in the USA, and Italy.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday at 7 P.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Friday October 26, 2012 from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, Ma. 01701 in her memory would be appreciated.
