MARIETTA, GA- Ronald Scott Lawton, 25 originally of Pawtucket, RI passed away October 20, 2012 at Kennestone Hospital.
Ron was the son of Elizabeth MacBurnie Andrews and stepfather Kenneth Andrews of Woodstock, GA and Ronald Lawton of Palm Bay, FL.
Ron enjoyed music and writing song lyrics. He was a kind-hearted man who loved animals. He was passionate about honoring American Veterans for the sacrifices they have made for our country. Ron was also an avid motorcyclist and skateboarder. At one time he worked as a carpenter in the home construction industry. More recently he was planning a return to school to become a History Teacher. Ron will be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor and infectious laughter.
Ron was preceded in death by grandparents Helen Orr Trombley and Robert Trombley of Pawtucket, RI and Ernest and Eva Hamilton MacBurnie and uncle Arthur Scott MacBurnie of Foxboro, MA.
In addition to his parents Ron is survived by his brother, Daniel Arthur MacBurnie Lawton of Pawtucket, RI; Stepbrother Josh Andrews of Davenport, FL; Aunts Cheryl MacBurnie Paine of Thetford Center, VT; Beverly MacBurnie McGee of Foxboro, MA; Debbie MacBurnie and Karen Coppenrath both of Mansfield, MA; and William Lawton of Midland, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 30 at Faith Alliance Church, 833 Pleasant St., Attleboro, MA. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 AM with the service to begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Spring Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or your local Humane Society.
