Janet Mary Deschamps, of Spring Street, Wrentham, died surrounded by her loving family on October 26, 2012 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.
Born in Wrentham on July 21, 1922, she was a loving daughter of the late Guybert and Charlotte (Wheelock) Armitage.
A lifelong Wrentham resident, she had attended Wrentham Schools. Janet had been employed as a dietary aid at the former Wrentham State School, previously working at the former Woonsocket Rubber Company. She had been a longtime member of the First Universalist Church in Woonsocket.
She raised a large and loving family and is survived by her dear children Wilfred Deschamps, Richard Deschamps, Robert Deschamps, Gerald Deschamps, and David Deschamps, all of Wrentham, Madeline Ravenelle, of Bellingham, Gail Parslow of Plainville, and Joel Deschamps of Seekonk, and was mother of the late Charlotte Poirier. She was the loving and devoted grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Her Funeral will be in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 AM, with burial following in the West Wrentham Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham Centre.
