Donald P. Gagnon

UXBRIDGE- Donald P. Gagnon, 69 of Uxbridge, MA, formerly of North Smithfield, RI, passed away on Oct. 26, 2012, at his home after a two-year illness.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of Paul and Ruth (Smith) Gagnon. A 1960 graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea, MA. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Berlin crisis. Donald was the owner and web designer of Wicked Wisdom Web Designs and VP of Facilities at Community Housing Services. He was a former Commissioner of the North Smithfield Conservation Commission, on the Board of Directors of NeighborWorks and former candidate for North Smithfield Town Administrator. He was a life member of the North Smithfield Land Trust, member of Valley Alliance for Smart Growth, member of the Blackstone Valley Independent Business Alliance, Executive Director of RI Association of Conservation Commissions and a Board member of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council. Among his many talents and interests, he was a gourmet cook, enjoyed astronomy, photography and computer science.
Donald is survived by his wife Gloria (Feeley) Gagnon, of Uxbridge, MA, one daughter, Wendy Dunleavy of New Hampshire, two sons, Christopher Kordas of Tiverton, RI and Kevin Gagnon of Inverness, FL, a sister, Pauline Gagnon of Johnston, RI and brothers Paul, Richard and Robert Gagnon all of Fall River, MA and 5 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 AM, St. John's Church, Slatersville, with visitation prior to the service from 9-10:30 AM in the Egidio Dipardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave, Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Blackstone. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donalds name to the North Smithfield Land Trust, P.O. Box 452, Slatersville, RI 02876
