WOONSOCKET- August "Steve" Dellacona, 87, of Blackstone Street, Woonsocket, died October 31, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Keegan) Dellacona and was born in Millis, MA, the son of the late Angelo and Julia (Ragna) Dellacona and has been a city resident for 54 years.
He worked for 37 years for the Kendall Company in Walpole, MA, retiring in 1983 as a Supervisor. Steve had served in the US Army during WWII.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Dellacona and his wife Karen of Pascoag, James Dellacona and his wife JoAnne of Hyannis, MA, and Brian Dellacona and his wife Sheila of Woonsocket, two grandchildren, Jesse Dellacona of Pascoag and Keegan Dellacona of Hyannis, MA, two brothers, Charles Dellacona of Franklin, MA and Angelo Dellacona of Tucson, AZ, two sisters, Joanne Webber of Sebring, FL and Lillian Trusevitch of Blackstone, MA. He was also the brother of the late Julianna Ciccone.
His funeral will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 9 am from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Charles Church, 190 North Main Street, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 PM.
