WOONSOCKET- Romeo T. Allard, 92, of Woonsocket, died Thursday November 1, 2012 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Leona A. (Michaud) Allard.
Born in Nasonville, he was the son of the late Narcisse and Marie (Duhamel) Allard.
Romeo was a salesman for the former Janelle Company of Providence, retiring in 1983. He previously worked in the local textile industry. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, and a member of its Seniors Club and Veterans Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by two brothers, Roland Allard of So. Hadley, MA, and Gerald Allard, of Burlis, TN; a niece Diane Ouimette and her husband Michael of Woonsocket, and their children Lauren Hammond, and Jeffrey Ouimette; a nephew Donald Gervais of Woonsocket, and his daughter Stephanie Gervais; and several other nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Oreance Allard, Beatrice Rivers and Gertrude Allard.
His funeral beginning with visitation will be held Monday Nov. 5, 2012 at 9:30AM from the Holt Funeral Home 510 So. Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial with Military honors will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA.
