GOING PINK

November 4, 2012

Wearing pink attire, 300 students, administrators and teachers gathered Friday on the field between Woonsocket Middle School's Villa Novan and Hamlet buildings to form a giant human pink ribbon as a way of celebrating a recent fundraiser to benefit the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. The school raised $1,500 through students, teachers and school administrators. Pictured here joining in the fun at Woonsocket Middle School are (L-R) Hamlet assistant principal Robert Picard, eighth-grade student Marcus Gelinas, Villa Novan assistant principal Steve Boss, breast cancer survivor and teaching assistant Gail Ducharme, and school principal Dr. Patrick McGee.
