CUMBERLAND- Jeanne C. Boucher, 87, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, November 01, 2012. She was the wife of the late Gilles M. Boucher.
Born in Manville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Olivine (Antaya) Maranda.
Mrs. Boucher lived most of her life in Cumberland. She was a volunteer for the SPRED Program, worked as a seamstress for the former Finkelstein's of Woonsocket, and was a bus monitor for the Cumberland School Department. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
She was also a lifelong member of Saint Joan of Arc Church parish. She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Mahon and her husband Frank of Deerfield Beach, Florida, a son, Gilles Boucher Jr. of Cumberland, two grandchildren, Frank Mahon Jr. and Laurie Doherty, and three great grandchildren, Christopher, Madisen, and Aiden.
The funeral will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 9am from the O'NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be Saint James Cemetery, Manville. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904, would be appreciated.
