WOONSOCKET- Suzanne M. (Jobin) Korzen, 65, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Miriam Hospital, with her loving family and devoted husband by her side, after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Korzen. Born in Woonsocket on October 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Camille H. and Therese M. (Lacroix) Jobin. She was the loving mother of Keith Marchand and his wife, Jennifer of East Greenwich, RI and Karen Portman and her husband, Jay of Blackstone, MA, and step-mother of Christopher G. Korzen of Portland, ME, Caroline R. Wiggett and her husband, Travis of Brunswick, ME and David L. Korzen and his wife, Silho of Pensacola, FL. She leaves her cherished grandchildren Ava and Grace Marchand, Mya Wiggett, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves her cat Misty and grand dogs Cosmo and Reese.
She was a resident of Woonsocket, formerly of Blackstone and was a graduate of St. Theresa Church in Blackstone and St. Clare High School in Woonsocket. Suzanne worked as a commercial Real Estate Appraiser for Eastland Bank, and then she worked for FDIC and Putnam Investments. She then was a C.N.A. for the Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island until retiring.
Suzanne loved the arts, traveling and her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren. Her deep faith and strong strength and courage in battling cancer, was an inspiration to everyone in her life. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 11:00AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will be at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
Visiting hours are on Monday, November 12th from 4 to 7PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation, P.O.
