NORTH SMITHFIELD- F. Suzanne Bourgery, 93, of Rhodes Ave. formerly of Warren Ave. Cumberland, R.I., died Saturday, November 10, 2012, in St. Antoine residence, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Bourgery.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Lucien S. and Antonia (Valcourt) Chartier.
Mrs. Bourgery worked as a Seamstress for Woonsocket Dress for several years, prior to retiring.
Her hobbies, were knitting, cake decorating, sewing, crafts, she was a very talented seamstress, in all aspects of the word.
She was also a very family orientated person she loved her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished all the time spent with them.
Prior to living at St. Antoine Residence, she was an active parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Cumberland. In her younger years she was a member of the choir at Precious Blood Parish in Woonsocket.
She is survived by one son, Charles J. and wife Lori Bourgery, of Blackstone, Ma. Four daughters, Felice and husband Ted Jakubiak, of Millbury , Ma., Denise and husband Christopher Kraus, of Johnston, R.I. Louise Lamansky of North Providence, R.I., and Emile and husband Ronnie Armstrong, of Sharon, Ma. Eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She also was the sister of the late Andre' Chartier, Constance Chartier, Marielle Vitale, and Jocelyn Chartier.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday November 15, 2012 at 10 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in St. Antoine's Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave. North Smithfield, RI. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Wednesday from 4-8 P.M.
