NORTH SMITHFIELD- Evan Timothy Mandeville, 11, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully at home November 13, 2012. He was the son of Timothy J. and Aimee L. (Dufresne) Mandeville.
He was a sixth grade student at No. Smithfield Middle School. Evan loved baseball and held the position of pitcher and first baseman for the 2011 North Smithfield Little League AAA championship team. He was also a little chef, his specialties were home-made chocolate chip cookies and egg sandwiches.
Besides his parents he is survived by his older brother, Joshua Mandeville, whom he adored; two younger sisters, Emelie and Julia Mandeville, whom he both tortured and loved; his maternal grandparents, Roger and Jacqueline (Begin) Dufresne; his paternal grandparents, Sarto and Ann (Hesketh) Mandeville all of No. Smithfield. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he enjoyed camping, launching fireworks, and spending quality time.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St. No. Smithfield. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Sunday from 3 - 6 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St. Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284-9168.
