BELLINGHAM, MA - Christopher J. Jakstis, 43, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 unexpectedly after being stricken at home. He was the beloved husband for 18 years of Maureen (Brown) Jakstis and the loving father of Olivia E. Jakstis. Born in Worcester, MA on March 15, 1969, he was the son of the late Anthony Jakstis of Shrewsbury.
He also leaves his mother Dorothy J. Recko and her companion George Lapan of Sutton, MA. He was the brother of Gregory Jakstis of Hanover, PA. He was the son-in-law of Ken and Barbara Brown of Clearwater, FL, and the brother-in-law of Rick and Catherine Brown of Orlando, FL, Michelle and Paul Guerriero of Mansfield, MA, Ken and Priscilla Brown of Gainesville, FL, Matthew Brown of Clearwater, FL. He also leaves his nephew, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a resident of Bellingham for 18 years, formerly of Shrewsbury and was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School Class of 1987. He was an accomplished construction business owner and project manager with 24 years experience in the industry. Christopher was most recently employed as a construction supervisor at FBN Construction of Boston. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Road, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Friday, November 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Olivia E. Jakstis Benefit Account, c/o Rockland Trust, 4 North Main Street, Bellingham, MA 02019.
