BLACKSTONE, MA - Theresa E. (Marchand) Bernier, 71, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, MA with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul B. Bernier, Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on April 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (St. Jean) Marchand.
She was the loving mother of Paul B. Bernier, Jr. and his wife, Arline of Blackstone, MA, Paula J. LeMay of Mapleville, RI, Brian K. Bernier of Blackstone, MA, Bruce E. Bernier and his wife, Amy of Blackstone, MA; and her cherished seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Joseph Marchand, Lorraine Lombard, Thomas Marchand all of Blackstone, MA and the late Jeanne Peloquin.
She was a lifelong resident of Blackstone and a communicant of St. Paul's Church. She worked as a Direct Care Supervisor for the Wrentham Development Center for 16 years until retiring in 1996 and previously had worked at Miller Electric in Woonsocket.
She loved life and was devoted to her family and friends, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
