WOONSOCKET- Florida Auger 90, formerly of Springwater Dr. died Thursday at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Raoul Auger.
Born in Mendon, MA she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Menard) Plouffe.
Florida was a homemaker, she loved taking care of her family, playing cards and word search.
She is survived by her children, Lucie Giguere of Woonsocket, Robert Auger of Ellenton, FL and Denis Auger of Bellingham, MA, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Roger Auger and sister of the late Roger and Arthur Plouffe, Olive Barcchesi, Florence Leacy, Rose and Jeannette Masse, and Rita Mathieu.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, beginning with visitation from 9:30 -10:30 AM followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. In lieu of flowers donation to Alzheimer's Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St. Ste. 306, Providence, RI 02960-5215 in her memory would be appreciated. Please visit
