WOONSOCKET - Maureen G. Koback 57, resident of Woonsocket where she lived most of her life, passed away at her resident after a prolonged illness. Maureen was born in Woonsocket a daughter Annabelle (McPherson) Koback of Woonsocket and the late Stanley Koback.
She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and attended Gonzage University in Spoken WA., she worked for General Motors in Framingham, she was a paralegal, and she also had enjoyed arts and crafts, and had the skills of a carpenter. She enjoyed traveling, before her illness Maureen had a witty and humorous side to her.
Besides her mother Maureen is survived by her sister Carol Nye and her husband Dan of Medfield MA, brothers, Ronald Koback and his wife Sheila of Attleboro MA, and Donald Koback of Woonsocket, aunt Josephine McPherson, nephews, Benjamin Nye, Timothy & Thomas Koback Jr and Peter Koback., nieces, Gretchen Pursel, and her great grand niece and nephew, Zoe & Keller and a cousin Christine McPherson. She was also survived by several cats.
She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Koback Sr.
Her funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30 am officiated by Rev. Eletha Buote-Greig from the St. James Episcopal Church in the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home 75 Harris Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Union Cemetery in North Smithfield. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10am until 11:30am.
