MENDON, MA- Cecilia M. (Collamati) Baisley, 85, of Mendon, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William B. Baisley deceased in 1955 from Polio.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on March 30, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arduino and Juliette (Richard) Collamati. She was the loving mother of William J. Baisley and his wife, Deborah of Uxbridge, MA, David A. Baisley and his wife, Doreen of Blackstone, MA, Donald R. Baisley of Blackstone, MA, Susan Vandervalk and her husband, Casey of Mendon, MA and the late Jane E. Rhodes and her husband, Kenneth Rhodes and his wife Deborah of Cumberland, RI. She leaves her cherished 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Joseph Collamati and Louis Collamati both of Woonsocket, RI, Ernest Collamati and his wife Germaine of Franklin, MA, Helen Getty of Plainville, MA, Juliette Chamberland of Stayton, OR and the late Albert, Lucien and Romeo Collamati.
A resident of Mendon for 28 years formerly of Bellingham, she worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Woonsocket Hospital for 23 years until retiring in 1989 and also had worked at the family business Collamati's Market. She was a communicant and member of the Women's Club of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish of Upton, MA.
She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, vacations at the beach, and most of all, being with friends and family. Deeply devoted to her family, she will always be remembered for her caring and kind spirit. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Monday December 17th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 151 Mendon St., Upton, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA. To sign guest book
