December 12, 2012

LINCOLN – A Lower River Road woman’s amicable relationship with her ex-boyfriend turned sour on Friday when he allegedly became violent during a domestic disturbance and bit her face.
Patrolman Steven M. Tellier reported finding the 39-year-old victim with red marks on her face consistent with a bite after responding to the 2:35 a.m. disturbance at 864 Lower River Road with fellow police officers.
The victim reported finding her ex-boyfriend Richard P. Dansereau, 44, of Cass Avenue, Woonsocket, at her residence with her estranged husband, Jamie Drinkwater, 39, when she arrived home. Although not living with her, the victim reported she has children in common with the two men and that they had all gotten along prior to the incident.
Dansereau was reported to have been drinking before arriving at the residence and became angry toward the victim, at one point throwing tomato sauce against the kitchen walls, police said.
Dansereau become more violent while looking for his car keys, and was reported to have kicked and shattered the victim’s front door. He was alleged to have bit the victim’s left cheek shortly before he left the dwelling.
Dansereau was arrested on a charge of domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism in connection with the disturbance.
He was arraigned before a justice of the peace and released on a summons to appear in District Court, police said.
