NO. SMITHFIELD- Frank H. Martin, 94, of Old Smithfield Road, No. Smithfield, died December 21, 2012 in The Holiday, Lincoln. He was the husband of the late Doris M. (Goewey) Martin.
Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Louise (Baldauf) Martin.
A WWII Army Veteran who participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the Invasion of Normandy, Mr. Martin worked in the Maintenance Dept. for Roger Williams Hospital, Providence and also for the former Fogarty Hospital, Woonsocket, retiring in 1981. He was also previously employed as a machinist for the former Draper Corp.
He is survived by a son; Roy Martin of Cumberland, two daughters; Marsha Toney of No. Smitfield and Holly Skiffington of Little Compton, and a grandson; Trevor Toney of Baldwin, MA. He was predeceased by eight siblings.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4-7PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Holiday Activities Fund, 30 Sayles Hill Rd., Lincoln, RI 02865.
