CHEPACHET- Christine L. (Hunt) Cortis, 58, of Chepachet, passed away peacefully on Friday at the Home & Hospice Care Center in Providence with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Alfred "Pete" J. Cortis Jr.
Born May 7, 1954 in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Harold & Margaret (Marmaud) Hunt.
Christine was employed as a assembler for S.M.T.C. of Foxconn Co. in Milford until illness.
Besides her husband she leaves 3 sons: John P. Cortis of Woonsocket, Jason P. & Justin P. Cortis both of Chepachet, a brother Chuck Hunt of Cranston, 5 sisters, Marie Garneau of Hartland, VT, Ruth Dawley of Charlston, RI, Patricia Duval of Scarborough, ME., Elaine Gervais & Peggy Hunt of Woonsocket, also 4 Grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Joseph P. Cortis, and sister of the late Harold "Rusty" Hunt.
Relatives & Friends are invited to Visitation hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2nd. from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket. A service will be officiated also at 6:30 P.M. in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the family. Kubaskafuneralhome.com
