WOONSOCKET- Richard V. Saillant Sr. 61, of Rodman St. died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Diane (LaCasse) Saillant.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Theodore and Theresa (Kemp) Saillant.
Richard worked for the City of Woonsocket in the Parks and Recreation Department for many years before retiring in 2007. He had previously worked for Owen's Corning for several years. Richard loved his cats and fed many strays.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Richard V. Saillant Jr. of Woonsocket, two brothers, Theodore Saillant II of Sutton, MA and Robert Saillant of Woonsocket, two sisters, Susan Godin of Holyoke, MA, and Margaret Guillette of Burrillville, and two grandchildren, Nathan and Brittany.
