WOONSOCKET - Florence M. Brissette, 81, of Manville, died Friday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Ernest A. Brissette. They were married on Oct. 1, 1949.
Born and raised in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Lucien F. and Dora (Lacourse) Hogue.
Flo resided in and raised her family in Woonsocket. Flo and Ernest relocated to Tampa, Florida in 1977 and lived there for over 30 years.
Flo was employed at U.S. Rubber in Woonsocket and while living in Florida worked for Black & Decker.
Florence enjoyed fishing, shopping and crossword puzzles.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother and adored her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by a son Michael R. Brissette, and his wife Jeri, of Pascoag, two daughters Sue Musial, and her husband Joe, of Manville and Diane Coleman, and her husband Bill, of Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Karen T. Brissette of Woodside, NY., and Dale M. Musial, and Michele, of Rehoboth, MA., and a great granddaughter Angelina Musial. She was the sister of Rolande Gentes, Denise Lamoureux, Bert and Leo Hogue, Marie O'Brien, Dora Duffany, Marcelle Caracino and the late Robert Hogue. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private at a later date.
