Madeleine L. Martineau

Madeleine L. (Menard) Martineau, 67, of Victory Highway, died January 3, 2013 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Bruce W. Martineau whom she married July 10, 1965. Born in Blackstone, MA, she was the daughter of Rita (Plasse) Menard of Blackstone, MA, and the late Charles Menard.
She worked at the YWCA in Woonsocket and was a Homemaker. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her visits to the Glocester Senior Center and relaxing in the summer with family and friends around the pool.
Besides her husband Bruce and her mother Rita, she leaves behind their son, Christopher C. Martineau of Danielson, CT; their daughter, Michelle Raso of Warwick; her three brothers, Lucien Menard of Millville, Maurice Menard of Woonsocket, and Charles Menard of Glendale; three sisters, Sylvia Fontaine of Burrillville, Jeannette Menard of Blackstone, MA, Violet Theroux of Blackstone, MA; and five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ethan, Kaileigh, Christopher Jr., and Nathaniel. She was predeceased by her son David B. Martineau.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 beginning with visitation from 9 - 10:30AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA.
