NORTH SMITHFIELD - Flora T. (Bastien) Degnan, 86, of North Smithfield, died December 27, 2012 in Mesa, AZ. She was the wife of the late John F. Brady and the late John F. Degnan. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Eudor and Noella (Picard) Bastien.
Mrs. Degnan was a secretary for Amperex Electronics in North Smithfield, retiring in 1987. She was also co owner of Park Square Diner and secretary at Lippitt Mill.
She leaves two sons, Michael Brady of Dover, PA and Patrick Brady of Mesa, AZ; her daughter, Barbara Berard of Nasonville; three grandchildren, Ryan Brady of Aliso Viejo, CA, Carrie (Brady) Gambee of Mesa, AZ and Chelsea Berard of Nasonville. Her sister, Anita McDonald, predeceased her.
Her funeral will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906.
