BELLINGHAM- Harland A. Bergeron, 85, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Besette) Bergeron.
Born in Central Falls, RI on July 12, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph and Cordelia (Trudeau) Bergeron.
He was the loving father of Christopher J. and Peter A. Bergeron both of Bellingham, MA. He was the brother of Doris Plante, and leaves his sister-in-law, Charlotte Wigglesworth of Woonsocket, RI. Also he leaves his cherished canine companions, Razzle and Tyler.
A resident of Bellingham since 1965, formerly of Woonsocket and was a graduate of Woonsocket High School Class of 1947. Mr. Bergeron worked at ACS Industries for over 35 years until retiring in 1993. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War attaining the rank of Corporal and was a life member of the VFW Post 7272 of Bellingham. He was a communicant of the former Assumption Church, Bellingham and St. Theresa Church, Blackstone and sang in the choirs. He was an avid NY Giants fan. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral Arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers. Donations in memory of Harland J. Bergeron may be sent the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
