BELLINGHAM- Gabrielle J. (Croteau) Armstrong, 87, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Bellingham on June 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Romeo N. and Marie Stella (Bernard) Croteau.
She was the loving mother of Thomas J. Armstrong and his wife, Tracy of Warwick, RI, Helene A. Cote of Charlestown, RI and Patricia M. Armstrong of Bellingham, MA; and leaves her cherished grandchildren, Nichole Sterling and her husband, Kevin of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Rebecca Cote-Giera and her husband, Joe of Happy Camp, CA; and great-grandchildren, Hannah J. and Andrew P. Sterling. She was the sister of Bernard Croteau of Webster, MA, Helene Malone and her husband, James of North Smithfield, RI and the late Fernand Croteau and Theresa Croteau. She also leaves her loving companion, Eugene Stone of Rockledge, FL.
She was a resident of Bellingham for most of her life where she was born and raised and a graduate of Bellingham High School Class of 1944. She worked as a nurse at Woonsocket Hospital. She attended the Adult Supportive Day Program at the Bellingham Senior Center, and enjoyed dancing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 10:30AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Visiting time from 9 to 10:30AM prior to service at funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Gabrielle Armstrong may be sent to the Adult Supportive Day Program, Bellingham Senior Center, 40 Blackstone Street, Bellingham, MA 02019, would be appreciated.
