WOONSOCKET- Florence (Husson) David, 84 of Star Avenue, passed away Friday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. David.
Born in Aita-El-Foukhar, Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Metri and Nayfe (Skaff) Husson. She moved to this country in 1948, settling in Woonsocket.
Mrs. David was a homemaker devoting her life to her family and friends. Her unconditional love, friendship and kindness will be truly missed by all.
She was a member of the Saint Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Pawtucket.
She leaves two loving daughters, Christine Briggs and her husband Robert, and Mary Jane Wehbe and her husband Albert, both of Woonsocket, five cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie, and Wade Briggs; Vanessa and Claudine Wehbe; one brother, Elias Husson of Worcester, MA; one sister Mary Skaff of Beirut, Lebanon. She was the sister of the late Hanna Husson, Andraos Husson and Nouhad Hanna.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 10 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Funeral service at 11 AM in the St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
