BLACKSTONE- Gertrude R. (Caron) Cote, 91, of Blackstone, MA, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Cote.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on July 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Laura (Lamontagne) Caron.
She was the loving mother of Robert G. Cote and his wife, Marsha A. of Ludlow, MA, and Lucie A. McKinley and her husband, Donald of Walden, CO; and leaves her cherished four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Denise M. Bouchard of Dunedin, FL and the late Robert M. Caron; and leaves many nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Blackstone, formerly of Woonsocket, and has recently been in residence at the Lydia Taft House of Uxbridge. She had worked at A.T. Cross in Lincoln for 10 years until retiring in 1983 and previously worked at Dun Rite Cleaners.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, in Blackstone and was a member of the parish Senior Citizens Club. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Monday, January 21st at 10:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting time from 10:30 to 11:30AM at the funeral home prior to funeral mass.
