BLACKSTONE, MA - Sarah H. (Freeman) Girard, 43, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Marcel R. Girard.
Born in Chestnut Hill, PA on March 5, 1969, she leaves her mother, Townley (Gamage) Budde of Hingham, MA, and her father MacGregor Freeman and his wife, Joan Sindall of Cambridge, MA. She was the mother of Gunnar Smits of Franklin, MA and step-mother of Amanda Chubka of Blackstone, MA, and grandmother of Faith Lavoie. She leaves her brother Borden Freeman and his wife, Nicole of Cohasset, MA and her sister, Emily Cookson and her husband, Dean of Mill Valley, CA; and her nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A resident of Blackstone for 13 years formerly of Franklin and Hingham, MA where she was raised and a graduate of Hingham High School. Sarah was an avid gardener, photographer and loved birds. She will be greatly missed and remain in our hearts forever.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA from 1 to 2:30PM with a Memorial Service at 2:30PM
An Open House in Sarah's Memory will be held on Saturday, February 23rd from 12:00 Noon at 745 Main Street, Hingham, MA. Family and friends are invited.
