MENDON, MA- Linda S. (Collupy) Brewer, 62, of Mendon, passed away Sat. Feb. 2, 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Robert S. Brewer.
She was born in Woburn in 1950 the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (McNeil) Collupy, Sr. and was raised in Burlington.
A resident of Mendon for the past 21 years, Linda was the Parrot Curator at Southwick's Zoo in Mendon where she had established "Bird Talk", an educational program enjoyed by the many visitors to the zoo. She had also hand raised the many exotic birds that are presently on display. She loved birds, enjoyed crafts, and was a member of the Daniels Farmstead Foundation and Earth Limited at Southwick's Zoo. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Robert of 18 years, she is survived her children Christina M. and her husband Brian Oppici of Rutherford, NJ, Cheri M. Rymsza of Ashland, and Aaron A. Goodin of Lowell; two brothers Raymond and his wife Amy Collupy of Port Henry, NY and Robert Collupy, Jr. and his wife Melody of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister Laura Astemborski of Colorado Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren Danielle, Nicolas, Sophia, Jacob, and Isabella, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son-in-law David Rymsza.
Funeral services will be Thurs. Feb. 7, 2013 at 10 AM in the First Evangelical Congregational Church, Court St., Uxbridge, MA. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Wed. Feb. 6, 2013 from 5 8 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge, MA.
