MILLVILLE- Margaret "Marty" Frances (Collins) Sullivan, 101 of Millville, died peacefully in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Westborough Tuesday, February 5, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Hoard) Collins and the beloved wife of the late Edward Sullivan who died in 1968.
Born in Millville, MA, she enjoyed living life to the fullest along with gardening, knitting and being a nana to all. She was an accountant at Mack Buick, Woonsocket, RI and retired at the age of 72. Mrs. Sullivan was a lifelong member of St. Augustine's Church and St. Monica's Guild and was the oldest resident of Millville.
She is survived by her three sons, Edward Sullivan and his wife Helene of Westborough, MA, Thomas Sullivan and his wife Linda of Franklin, MA and Paul Sullivan and his wife Mary Lou of Hudson, MA. Marty had nine grandchildren, Maureen Mann, Edward Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan, Erin Paolini, Meghann Warnick, Sean Sullivan, Kelsey Sullivan, Naomi Martin and Kathrine Sullivan. She also had twelve great grandchildren, Julian and Jadon Sullivan, Nicholas, Cassandra and Hailey Paolini, Meredith, Liam and Julia Sullivan, Tyler and Molly Martin and Elise and Brynn Warnick. She was the sister of the late Esther Meagher, Helen McNamara, John Collins, Elizabeth Collins and Claire Collins. She was the aunt of John Collins, Helen Hession, Patricia Fisher, Jane Gilmore and the late Mary McNamara and Owen McNamara along with 21 great nieces and nephews and many dear friends, including Maureen Carey who died in 2000.
Her funeral will be celebrated Monday, February 11, 2013 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine's Church, 17 Lincoln St., Millville. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5 PM.
