WOONSOCKET- Leona A. (Michaud) Allard, 91, of Ridge St., died February 7, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Romeo T. Allard.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Emile P. and Mary Louise (Lavoie) Michaud.
Mrs. Allard worked for numerous area textile mills, including the former Lafond Weaving, Manville, where she retired as a mender in1983. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket and a member of the St. Joseph's Seniors.
She is survived by a sister; Lucille Gervais of Woonsocket, a niece; Diane Ouimette and her husband Michael of Woonsocket, and their children Lauren Hammond and Jeffrey Ouimette. Also, a nephew; Donald Gervais of Woonsocket, and his daughter Stephanie Gervais.
Her funeral will be held Friday, February 15, 2013, beginning with visitation at 9AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in All Saints Community Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to IN-SIGHT, 43 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 1, Warwick, RI 02888
