CUMBERLAND- Adelard L. Caouette, 85, of Manville Hill Rd., died February 12, 2013 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. He was the husband of Muriel L. (Milot) Caouette whom he married September 2, 1989 and he was the husband of the late Therese (Dancause) Caouette.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Adelard and Roseanna (Gregoire) Caouette.
A WWII Navy Veteran, Mr. Caouette worked as a Regional Sales Account Manager for USA Truck, Arkansas, retiring in 1992. He was active in the formation of the Catholic Regional School System, a Trustee of the St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket, as well as past President of the Parish Council, he also was the recipient of the John Paul II Commemorative Papal Cross, and was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland.
Besides his wife Muriel, he is survived by a daughter; Dr. Michelle McCusker and husband Rick of Charleston, SC, two sons; Paul and Cindy Caouette of Cumberland and Marc and MaryAnn Caouette of No. Smithfield, and four stepchildren; Gregoire Roberts and Cynthia of Cotuit Ma., Marcia Warrington and Chris of Rutland Ma., Todd Roberts and Marcia of West Boylston Ma., and Jon Roberts, a sister; Lucille Lanctot of Cumberland and twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was the brother of the late Edgar Caouette and Doris Levesque.
His funeral will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 9:30AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket and Military Honors to follow. Burial will be private. Calling hours Friday from 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Antoine Residence-Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
