WOONSOCKET- Thelma (Mazmanian) Perry of Newton Centre formerly of Waltham and Woonsocket RI died on Feb 16, 2013.
She was 88. She was a warm and caring person who was loved by all who knew her.
Thelma was born in Northern Ireland and graduated from Barrington College in RI. She also received a Masters degree in special education from William Patterson College. For years she was the Executive Secretary for the Sales Director at Tupperware Corporation. She worked for over 20 years as a reading specialist in elementary schools in New Jersey. She was also active in theatre and arts and had sung with the Sweet Adelines. She volunteered throughout her life for those in need and the less fortunate.
Thelma was the beloved wife of Donald E. Perry and the late Martin H. Mazmanian, the loving mother of Brian J. Mazmanian and his wife Carol Greenwald Mazmanian of West Newton and Pamela J. Esten and her husband Winsor Esten of Cranston RI. Adored grandmother of Daniel G. Mazmanian and his wife Melissa Tooley, Erik S. Mazmanian and Winsor Andrew Esten. Sister of Anna Andrasko of Orange CA.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sat., Feb. 23 at 11:30 AM in St. John's Episcopal Church, 297 Lowell Avenue, Newtonville, followed by a reception in the parish hall. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment is private.
